Thankyou to all that took part in the summer Sir Ken Ferriman Jubilee Cup today. As always some amazing games of tennis, terrific food and great company.

The quiz night, which took place on the 15th April 2017 in the bowls club, was a great success! Somewhere in the region of 60 members turned up to take part. The quiz was put together by Kevin Peake who put a lot of effort into creating a very varied and entertaining quiz. It even included a Krypton Factor style observation round and a music round featuring live music provided by Gordon dunn.
On Monday 6th March, as an introduction to the AGM, also held that evening, there was a presentation to reward our Junior members for representing the club by participating in the Aegon team winter series 2017 championships. Medals were awarded to Michalis Michealides, Ronan Goss and Joel Malango for participation in the Under 14s A team; to Callum West, Preshanth Bhurna and Jake Ayling for participation in the Under 14s B team and to Luca Fabri, Tom Barber and Tomer Byrne for participation in the Under 12s team. Our under 9s team received their medals and certificates on 12th March at the 9U event, the team consisted of Jack Green, Daniel Chapman and Anoushka Tatineni.
Our U14 A team came 2nd place in their draw. The U14 B team is currently joint 1st in their draw and the U12s are currently in 4th place - with some matches still to be played. Our youngest team, the U9s, players competing for the first time, came 6th overall in their age group. Coach Bianca Pallatt says "I am very proud of all our players...
In spring 2016 the annual Vets tournament began; 20 players entered the competition in 10 pairs. Throughout the following months each pair challenged other pairs to matches, each match played to the best of 3 sets. Everyone's scores were recorded and the pairs with the most points at the end of September made it through to the finals.

Sunday 18th September was Club Finals Day. It was a great and memorable day and will definitely go down in club history as the longest; having started play at 11am, the last match didn't finish until nearly 8pm.
